Tests and diagnostics

We analyze structural and technical aspects down to the smallest detail. Damage to buildings very often results from hidden defects following negligent execution/workmanship as well as from construction concepts developed contrary to good practice, with insufficient respect for the recognized rules of the trade and the applicable SIA standards.

For us, it is important to take a positive approach to the assessment/ to approach the assessment constructively, examine the buildings, analyse the source of the defects, provide clear and precise explanations and propose sustainable solutions to restore compliance.

Request - Expert assessment of a building's roof and facades

A common example of problems related to roof leaks spreading into facades requires technical inspections of (the) roof edges (parapets) and the roof waterproofing system.

The inspection is carried out in several stages, including technical observations, checks of construction details and compliance with the specifications and SIA technical Swiss standards in force at the time of construction, surveys, followed by roof pressurization using specialised detection equipment to identify problematic areas and affected surfaces.

Request – Assessment of basements and water infiltration in lower-level premises – Mould

The structural design of the building's underground sections must be checked following damage.  The investigation into the causes of water infiltration is carried out in several stages.

Our intervention begins with an analysis of the construction details, geological engineering reports, and underground pipes, which form an integral part of municipal and cantonal requirements and guidelines in accordance with VSA 592.000 Swiss standard concerning property drainage (of water). Pipes and drainage systems are tested by cleaning and camera inspection, the watertightness of the foundation concrete is examined using scanning technology, the premises are placed under negative pressure to detect leaks, and in parallel we carry out core drilling and external surveys of the base of the facades to verify the correct installation of waterproofing systems and underground insulation.
